RiotOnTheRocks is a genre-defying electronic music artist who will shatter your preconceptions of what modern music should sound like. With over two decades of experience as a DJ, his musical background is rooted in punk, hard core, and hip-hop, which he combines with his love for all kinds of electronic music to create an eclectic, energetic and groove-driven sound.

As a resident DJ at Lila Eule’s (Bremen) eventseries “Supagroove” RiotOnTheRocks has played alongside and supported numerous international acts, including Parov Stelar, Dunkelbunt, Loo & Placido, Drunken Masters, Ursula 1000, and more.

In 2012, RiotOnTheRocks shifted his focus towards House and Techno, while still retaining his passion for global sounds in all game types: Global Organic, global Bass, global Tech, and everything in between. This approach is also evident in Markus Roling second project, Hamna Shida, founded in 2022 with his CCS Mate David Klecha, which combines Slow House & Global Tech to create a fusion of sounds that is unique and refreshing.

In 2021, Markus Roling started producing House & Techno as RiotOnTheRocks and Slow House & Global Tech as Hamna Shida. Get ready to embark on an “Eclectic Bass Safari” with RiotOnTheRocks and let him take you on a journey through genre frontiers that you never thought were possible.
